I've got to admire restraint like that... Not to mention the subtlety...

O-kay, Sparky, I guess I misread your statements; sorry about that. But, don't you think it is just typical human nature to try to lump people together and stick a label on them? I'm not saying that it's proper or by any means acceptable to do so, just that it is what typically happens. I think that's DR66's point: if person X acts in a way that makes them seem like their views are similar to extremist group G, then that person will be considered a member of that group. Similarly, if X openly associates with known members of group G, that person will be considered a member of that group.

Now, I, personally, find such generalizations to be of questionable validity, but I even catch myself making them from time to time. Whether DR66 believes it is valid to make such a generalization I will leave for hir to say. But I think we would all have to agree that those generalizations are made regularly and by a majority of the population.
