To get up every morning and put on a uniform knowing that today may be your last day alive takes a hero. Now for the special heroes we have ways of recognizing them as well. Commendations, medals, media attention, etc. A good example happened yesterday in St. Louis. President Bush, who calls all service people heroes, met a wounded Marine at the airport who was to recieve special recognition during Bush's speech at Boeing. Bush surprised the young man by giving him a ride in his limousine to the presentation. Is the marine more of a hero? Maybe not, but he did pay the price for his heroism.
