...that ain't right. "Hero" status awaits anyone stupid enough to get shot! Dude, try working in law enforcement -- a far cry from the constant dangers of war -- and you'll begin to understand how "getting shot" has more to do with bad luck and less to do with how (un)intelligent you are. I don't care if you're going after the idiotic U.S. media for glorifying war, but picking on people who get put in harm's way to serve their country (rightly or wrongly) is just reprehensible.
