Basicaly, whatcha gotta do is create an urban legend and send it out and the first Urban Legend that makes it onto qotdsubmit at this domain href="http://www.snopes.com">Snopes.com wins!

The following rules apply:

1. The UL you create must be posted on this board within the month of April 2003 in response to this post, AND must be emailed to me at "kickstart[at]thedomainnameyouarecurrentlyvisiting"
2. Because of #1, the UL must be FYOS-safe. If you do not know what that means, then go read the qotdsubmit at this domain href="http://ars.userfriendly.org/users/diary.cgi?id=faq">FAQ.
3. The UL must not in any way cause harm to people! As an example, a UL that tells people that a medicine is unhealthy for them is ENTIRELY DISALLOWED. If people come hunting you after you do something like this, I will cooperate with the authorities completely! As well, do not overtly cause harm to another entity (corporations included) in such a way that UserFriendly may have to call lawyers, otherwise you get to pay for those lawyers.
4. The UL must contain some reference to UserFriendly. For example, you can use a characters full name or make the UL about an Internet provider called 'Columbia Internet', etc.
5. The first UL that makes it on Snopes.com wins...therefore people who work/volunteer for Snopes.com are ineligible.
6. There may be a prize. No guarantees.
7. I will be the final judge to decide if the UL is too similar to other ULs already on Snopes.com. Obviously if it's just included on an already existing Snopes.com webpage, then it's not gonna qualify.
8. I reserve the right to alter to add rules as needed to make the contest more entertaining and/or avoid cheaters.
