You can pray whenever you want to. If a bunch of Christians get together at a sporting event and want to pray, they can, just don't expect others to stop what they are doing just to cater to your whims. The school, unless it is a private school, Must Not hand the mike over to a Pastor, because by doing so they are endorsing a religious activity, and as a government institution, they aren't permitted to do that. Besides, by putting the prayer over the loudspeaker, you are imposing it on those who don't wish to participate. Also, don't forget that those resources are also paid for by the atheists, agnostics, Jews, Pagans, Moslems, Hindus, et al. who live in the area.

A prayer broadcast over a loudspeaker is hardly the same as a moment of quiet reflection. And who is denying you your moment of quiet reflection anyway? Pick a quiet moment for it. Just don't expect me to go out of my way to provide a quiet mooment for you.
