Separation of Church and State in the U.S.? by BuggedEyes2006-11-19 12:55:59

          In Private?!?! by desertrat66 2003-04-02 12:00:59
Good grief!!! Do you know what that would mean?!?! Morals are something that we should exercise every waking moment of our lives. Otherwise we would descend into anarchy much like the L.A. Riots.

Should school sports begin with a prayer on the PA? No. But a moment of silence for those who wish to pray (even team group prayer on the field) would be IMO respectful to all.

As for the mention of God in various parts of American culture, do wiccans not also have gods or spirits that they worship? If so then you are not swearing allegiance to the god of Judeo-Christian religion, but to the god you believe in. If someone believes man is the supreme being in the universe then "god" to them would be man. As for the Bible I can see and agree with your point there.

It's not about freedom it's about tolerance, we should learn to accept and accomodate other people's beliefs (within reason of course, based on law not some judeo-christian belief.) For instance no one has any business interupting or interfering a wiccan ceremony just because they believe differently. They should either go away or remain quiet and respectful. If more people in this world were that way then it would indeed be a much better place to live.
