Life of Naruki by piroufreek2003-03-28 10:21:39

I, myself, do not hold a degree I would consider prestigious. Yet I do not consider myself to be ignorant, undereducated, nor even particularly unwise.
(well, maybe unwise in some particular instances which needn't be brought to light at this precise time, but, in general terms... <g>)

I've met people who do hold high degrees from prestigious institutions who also struck me as being rather senseless on occasion. I've also met people who, in their later years, were working to complete their GEDs (equivalent to a high school diploma), and yet who struck me as being very intelligent, wise, experienced, and well-learned. Every Bell curve has its extreme ends. And every person is, by nature, well-qualified and occasionally exceedingly gifted at making an @ss of him- or her-self. To make an over-reaching judgement based upon such exceptional instances would strike me as wise.
