How do you know that the inspections weren't working? They found some missles which weren't allowed and they were destroying them, that seems like something was working. You can't say the inspections weren't working just becuase they didn't find what they were looking for (once again no proof that it was there).
Yeah I heard about the chem suits... ooooh they have suits that can protect them againts chemical and biological attacks... oooh that must mean that they are evil and have banned weapons. Sarcasim aside, that only proves that they have suits, they could have been there for a number of reasons, including past experiments which no longer occured, and protection incase THEY were attacked with things like that. A suit proves nothing, it only proves that they had suits.
and, none of that does matter about what the Iraqi regime is doing to protect itself, the USA is the aggressor in this battle, and I can not blame them for using whatever means they can to protect themselves, even if it includes threatening people.
The UN isn't perfect, but its a democracy, and sometimes it doesn't always work right, you should strive to improve it if you don't like how its working, not just blow it off as unimportant. |
