Unfortunately, I don't believe most people see it. Some value baby seals more than they value baby humans. Some would rather lash out against the very thing that provides the protection for their lashing out.

But, we do live in a civilization. As part of living in that civilization we must all agree to certain laws, right or wrong. We must all subscribe to the same governing laws, such as the laws of war, for civilization to live. We must value human life for civilization to live. We must value honesty and integrity for civilization to survive.

I see both sides of the political spectrum trying to dictate the behaviors and beliefs of the other. From abortion, to welfare, to religion, to greed, to voting, to rights, each side tries to impose its will upon the other.

I'm not judging religion, I'm judging one's adherence to civilization. We must all adhere. Of that, there is NO doubt.
