All votes weren't counted, and Algore didn't want to count all of the votes, as he claimed. He wanted to pick and choose some DNC strongholds and see if he couldn't create more votes.
And you are right, liberals are principled as well. Unfortunately, the principles get drowned in the sea of leftism that permeates the DNC. The '04 DNC candidates don't believe what they believe for the sake of believing it. They are saying they believe something to provide political points.
From abortion, to homeland defense, to taxes, I've not seen a republican waffle as much as the democrats do. How many DNC hopefuls change their abortion spots just to appeal to a larger audience? How many DNC hopefuls change their homeland defense stance just to provide a distinction between GW and themself? How many DNC hopefuls change their tax stance just to broaden their base?
Not all do this, don't get me wrong. We just hear about the ones who do.
As for liberals, I wish that the liberals would rule the world and that all people were treated with respect. Unfortunately, they won't. There is evil in the world that most liberals will never understand. I love them, but they are inherently naive. Human nature sucks more than liberals can fix.
Oh, I'll change my waffle comment. McCain waffled. He's the waffle king. And I used to like him. |
