but I rarely drink alcohol, and if I do, it's usually a low-alcohol mix. But then again, most fruit juices or whatever soda the alcoholic beverage is mixed with, are as good on themselves as with alcohol. Suffice it to say, I never liked the taste and I never up until now got to like it.
I am 20 years old. In the Netherlands where I (usually ;) )live, the legal age for beer and the mixes I drink is 16 and up, and strong booze is available from the day you turn 18. I never got drunk in four years of adolescency.
But that wasn't because I am such a good person; I eat too much sweets, so I have my bads too. It's because I dislike the taste of alcohol.
What I did do on purpose was not smoking because the effect it would have on for example my voice. A minor effect, but I know SO many people whose voice is husky and horrifying because of smoking... and I like to sing. Of course there is also the lung issue etc. but overall it seemed like a pretty bad idea. I never belonged to 'the group' anyway. Only once has somebody offered me a smoke, and I could refuse easily.
And as for marihuana, I am probably one of the few Dutch that's never even tried it ;) If you're not in 'the scene', how would you even know where to go, what to choose etc? |
