No new dead, injured or maimed?
Don't delude yourself, the US government is not going in there because of any concern what so ever about what happens to the Iraqi population.
The US government is going in there to: consolidate a powerbase for itself in the Middle East, have better control over the world oil reserves, and also because Saddam will not longer dance to their tune and this is a good way of putting in someone who will.
Another point is that with the US population so focused on this war, it is docily letting its freedoms be taken away and not protesting over much about the disastrous state of the economy. A trick that has been used since the time of the Roman empire.
And sadly, I'm beginning to think they may just be going in there because they can. It appears that might does make right after all.
