Here is a summary of the posts so far (read carefully):
TLP said they kissed, and passing kids told them to "burn in hell <expletive>". That is an extreme reaction to a kiss, even if it's tongue in cheek (the kiss, not the reaction).
GP basically blamed the reaction on DennisMV for not doing a "light peck". She incorrectly assumed it was the "PDA" kind.
Adiplomat pointed out the logical flaws in her "perspective" and asked for clarity.
GP said (and I quote): "It's just common courtesy and normal human behavior."
I basically asked her WTF she meant by that. WHAT is "common courtesy"? Kissing lightly or politely informing a homosexual that he/she is going to hell <expletive>?
She said she meant exactly what she said, which (if you've been paying attention [which you haven't]) is that ...? WTF did she mean?
lord_dolphin tried to encourage her to be more clear, as her meaning seemed very inflammatory.
I indicated that her repeated refusal to explain her comment was not acceptable to me.
And now YOU seem to think that her comment was completely innocuous. HOW? You, too, misunderstood what type of kiss was being done, but THAT IS NOT THE REAL PROBLEM. The problem is that the reaction was homophobic, not "deep-kiss-o-phobic". And she was basically supporting that reaction by blaming DennisMV for kissing his boyfriend!
When seeing a man stick his tongue down a woman's throat, nobody tells him to burn in hell, nor calls him a <expletive>.
Geez, rapido75, you are defending someone who refuses to speak plainly and yet has made it "incredibly obvious" that she hates homosexuals. That's not making you look very good, you know. |
