Though I do agree with what Geek Princess said about most people just not liking it when other people show affection for each other, I don't believe it has anything to do with sexual orientation either.
For instance, my g/f and I sometimes kiss when we are walking down a sidewalk or waiting for a bus. Not a long drawn out kiss (usually) but a kiss non the less. I can't even COUNT the number of yells and honkings we get! sometime's if we are just holding hands people make a commotion over it!
My reaction is to just ignore them and enjoy my time with my lover. In most instances I would suggest the same for you, unless you feel that the people disturbing you may become violent or threatening, in which case I recommend leaving A.S.A.P. for safety.
a lot of people in this world are stupid, sometime's you have to play by their stupid rules in order to avoid harrassment. I'm not saying it should be like this, in fact I think it should be the opposite! but what you do in your privacy is always yours.
