...most of his are out in a quite boggling range of languages. I have the german Reaper Man here somewhere... Ben Elton's usually good for a laugh, Tom Holt's been mentioned, Robert Rankin's funny, as is Meera Syal. Recently read the first of George Macdonald Fraser's Flashman books, that was quite good. Ian M Banks for scifi... and I've just finished Stupid White Men.
