| Most likely nobody will read this anymore. But still I just HAVE to answer that one. But before I reply to these points let me again say this: I don't support the actions of Hamas and the like - in fact I probably condemn them almost as much as you do. Still I think that just saying "Terrorists! Get rid of them!" somewhat comes a bit too short considering the desparate situation of the Palestinans.
Now
ad 1) True
ad 2) Well, you don't exactly have to be a rocket scientist to foresee that there will be innocent women and children killed when you level a house to get ONE person that MAYBE is in there. An army with the professionalism and resources of the Israeli should have different ways to achieve that. Furthermore why do they use deadly ammo against stone throwing kids instead of rubber slugs which would be equally effective to stop them - but with a less "final" result?
ad 3) True
ad 4) Yes it does. Without the intervention of the USA the international community would most likely have intervened there for a long time. By their vetos, money and weapons the USA in fact have supported the killing of innocents as much as anybody who gives money or weapons to Hamas.
ad 5) Yes that is murder. But again - desperate people take deperate actions. That does not make it right - but when you don't see any chances and are desparate you take desparate measures. And I really avoided this so far but as you mentioned the original war: Who started it and why, hmm? Doesn't throw too good a light onto the Israeli !?
ad 6) First of all I give you that the Hamas is not interested in a peace short of the one resulting from killing all Israeli - as I already mentioned I consider them bloody terrorists too. But even the moderate Palestinans considered that peace offering more of a joke. Ever looked at what Israel was offering? Come on. You can't actually take an offer for serious that more or less says "We keep our settlements and keep controlling (read: oppressing) you but as long as you stop the attacks we do too"
That is horrible, it is wrong
I already said that they are evil and horrible.
you need to visit a country where people are cut down for being different, where such evil exists, and leave your comfortable homes.
I have been in Palestina a while ago (before the hot period of the Intifada) and seen how they live there, how you can't go one step (literally) without an Israeli rifle pointed in your direction, how deadly ill and exhausted people are denied entry to the city to see doctors just because they are Palestinans, seen the bullet holes in the vans of the Red Halfmoon (the islamic chapter of the red cross) that resulted from fanatic Israeli settlers shooting them with their UZIs. I don't know if you have gone to any such country yourself and seen anything like that for yourself. But if you haven't you should perhaps stop ranting about something you haven't done yourself.
The Palistian cause is hurt not helped by them.
While that is partly true it is also partly wrong. Or do you think the Israeli would even twitch a finger for changing anything in the way they treat the Palestinans if there was no immediate threat for them in not doing so?
Stand up for those dogs if you will.
I won't. I only said that I don't see so many other ways for the Palestinans to fight
I will stanby those who try to at least achieve some measure of justice.
The problem is that you can't deal with this on the basis of some system of "justice". Here's why:
As I already said I consider Hamas and the like are bloody terrorists. But again, on the other hand I think that as long as the Palestinans don't stand any chance to fight the Israeli a different way one can't condemn them altogether. Furthermore bombing and leveling Palestinans homes, driving them away and killing their children is no way of gaining safety or peace either. The only thing you achieve by that is continuing the vicious circle. You can't stop a group of fanatics like Hamas with violence as primary tool. You can only achieve that by actually stopping the oppression, helping the people to rebuild their homes and lives and befriending them instead of blaming the acions of Hamas onto the whole population. By helping them instead you take the basis of the terror groups away because without oppression it is much harder to brew fanatics and recruit people desperate enough to blow themselves up. That's why the only ones with the power to stop that madness are the Israelis by stopping their own course of violence. Instead they demand the Palestinans to stop the violence first. They won't be able to do that. Hamas and IJ aren't under the control of the Palestinan people (and neither under the control of their "government" of Yassir Arafat and his folks, I believe) and the only way to stop them is to stop people from joining them.
Thus I'd like to conclude that the blame for the bombings is AT LEAST as much on the Israeli as it is on Hamas.
