I am a student of history. I am well aware of all that. But I am also reminded of similar reasoning after WWII and our decision to rebuild Japan and Germany. Ultimatly both were a success. I have stated several times the US still has sins to be resolved. We always will. But none of those are reasons as far as I can see, in fact going into Iraq may at least resolve our stupid decision to back Iran. The Cold War left us quite often choosing the lesser of two evils, we now just have several lesser evils to clean up after, I guess.
