| Thanks for you answer: I will try to answer yours in proper format below each question.
1) The various US departments have a vested interest in war with Iraq. The Bush administration has admitted that they have too much invested to back out now.
Absolutely.
2) The UN weapons inspectors have not found WMD in Iraq.
They have found a few components to missiles, some of which do exceed the range permitted.
None of these weapons however was in working order - the most active were partially dismantled.
The majority of weaponry that Iraq was known to have (as the US sold them) has been demonstrated to have been destroyed and buried, by digging the remains up.
They recently found a "Biological" agent as well as the Iraqies destroying several weapons, recently
Not to mention Powerll sat before the UN security council and on TV showed weapons sites before and after Blix arrived. He showed the Iraqies cleaning sites out.
5) I do not have sufficient data. However, the US has also harboured and funded known terrorists in recent history.
Yes, sadly. The US is imperffect as any nation
9) This has no bearing on Iraq. The WTC was destroyed by Al-Quaieda (sp?), who have not been supported at any time by Iraq.
AQ has allies in Norther Iraq supported by the Iraqies as has been attested to by the Kurds. The have been practicing a terror war against the Kurds for Iraq. The US has showen footage of Iraqies practicing raids on airplanes as part of terrorists training to the UN.
10) They claim to be, but so far they have failed to eliminate a single terrorist group. The US has changed the rulers of Afghanistan, which I agree was a Good Thing.
This has no bearing on the Iraq crisis though.
This takes time
1) Affirmative. However, this has no bearing on whether or not we go to war, merely what to do if war is declared.
2) Evidence? There are many such countries in the Middle East, Bush has not declared any intentions regarding those countries.
Powell sat before the UN security council and showed satalite footage of Terrorist training camps. Saddam has given money to Hammas, he says he does. He congratulates them for their actions. Destroying Saddam takes away one more bankroller for these people.
3) I agree that Saddam should be removed. However, a war is unlikely to accomplish this, due to the vested interest most of the ruling class of Iraq have in the existence of the current regime and leader(s).
Going in and arresting or killing saddam will stop him. That is is simple. Most of the IRaqi rulling class will be gone afterwards their desires are irrelivent. Don't get me wrong I have a hard time supporting the war. I want to be a pacifist but I see no other way but his destruction. He is like Hitler reason means nothing to him.
I view violence and war as the last resort. If all other plausible methods have been either tried or seriously considered and either failed or discarded, then war may be pursued.
It must be terminated as soon as the objective has been accomplished.
We have tried for 12 years to reason with him. This man gasses his own people to test his weapons. How do you reason with that? |
