Fact 1: I'm not disputing the issue. Mainly because the WMD in Iraq have "Made in the USA" stamped all over 'em
Fact 2: Cor! They dont *need* Blix to tell them that! They just need to check their own inventories - see fact 1!
Fact 3: Your grasp of military history is astounding! so they agreed to disarm, so what? How many agreements have the US renaged on? I dont see Britain preparing to invade the US because the US government renaged on their vehicle inport quotas.
Fact 4: If your glorious leader's daddy had done his job right back in 1991 this problem would not exist.
Fact 5: The US has funded terrorist organizations all over the world to further their aims. The biggest irony is the support they gave to Iraq to aid their fight against Iran.
Fact 6: You can't count!
Fact 7: Big whoopty-do! IIRC several resolutions were passed during the Cold War to limit and destroy biological and chemical weapons. As Iraq got these weapons from the US it seems that someone's been caught with their pants down. And yes, We are not whiter than white - Porton Down is still developing and churning out this sh*t, despite what our government tells the world. But as I dont make the policy on WMD I cant relly stop em.
Fact 8: You do like to labour your point dont you? How many ways can you say "Iraq isnt doing what we told them!"?
Fact 9: Yes, I noticed. And terrible as that event was, We in the UK have been having buildings blown up and innocent men, women and children killed by the IRA for the last 30 years. Perhaps you think invading Ireland and removing the Irish government would solve the Irish troubles?
Fact 10: What does that have to do with the price of eggs? Last time I looked Iraq had a recognized leader and government structure. It's armed forces all wear uniforms and can be recognized as combatants. Why dont you look up the definition of "terrorist"
Conjecture 1: No, the first action of war is a declaration. Either by message (Neville Chamberlain, September 3 1939) or action (Admiral Yamamoto, Pearl Harbour, December 7 1941)
Conjecture 2: The US is doing exactly the same!
Conjecture 3: Ooh, same point as "Facts" 3, 4, 7 and 8. Do you get anything for a 5 fact trick?
I have nothing but contempt for the Iraqi administration. It is evil and opressive. But what the US and my *OWN* government are planning to do is just as evil and just as opressive. The impending war is a prime example of two wrongs not making a right, particularly so when you stop listening to the government propaganda and consider the *real* agendas that the US and UK are pursuing.
