  If you configure the scheduler service by blindman 2003-03-07 10:09:40
with the ID and Password to be used, scheduled tasks will run wether or not the machine is logged in. Yes that means you are entering the password and it is stored - hashed - in the registry. But if you make a seperate id just for running scheduled tasks and limit its rights to just what it needs this will work. I have done this many time in our production environment. Just if/when you change the password, don't forget to update the service.
