ONQ for *nix people (and/or other geeks) by OzanBABA2003-03-07 07:33:36
Define installed. by maceogan 2003-03-07 09:56:19
First computer I owned (note owned is not used) is a TI-99/4A but it had a built in OS (of sorts). My first PC was an XT clonerunning PC-D0S 1.1 (I think that was the version) but since it did not have a hard drive the install consisted of utilizing a boot disk. I did later add a hard drive to it but I think I was at MS-DOS 2.1 by that time.

Since then there have been many versions of DOS and Windows (probably almost every one that has hit the market since then).

I have also installed several flavors of LINUX including a couple pre version one copies (don't remember exact release) that was before the different distros got into the mix. It has been a while but I seem to recall somewhere between 12 and 20 floppies being involved.

Geez, it has bben a while since I thought about that.
