I reckon I got a Winders ques-chin. by nin_man 2003-03-07 09:37:24
So I've got a mess of Windows 2000 servers sitting around, all working hard and doing a fine job.

Except they all log out after a while. I guess it's overnight, since I've never actually SEEN it happen, but this is bothersome.

One of them is set to copy some files up to the network every night so they'll be backed up, and this job is set to run through the Windows task scheduler.

Trouble is, they won't run if the computer is logged out, and...well, it is. So stuff isn't getting backed up like it should.

I thought it was because it was logged in as Administrator all the time (relax, they're behind a locked door and not internet-connected) and had changed that, but still, they log out. I left a program open and running on one of them to see if that would do it. But still, it logged out.

My question is...WHY??? And how can I make them stop? None of the other 2000 servers here do that. Heck, there's one in that closet with them that stays logged in all the time.
