Trying to describe a car noise by Route2003-03-07 08:13:36
googling for wheel bearing noise... by Route 2006-11-19 12:55:59
I found a page that seems to characterize the noise I'm having. It says that wheel bearing noise is usually proportional to speed, and may change while turning. (It said a bad CV joint will probably only make noise when you turn.)

Click for the interested; I'm going to bookmark the main page.

Thank you, everybody, for the suggestions and leads--an hour ago, I had NO idea where to start looking for the information. I have a Chilton book for my car (1990 Honda Civic), but it didn't help here.
