The Free Land of Ug the Caveman
"Ug."
UN Category: Left-Leaning College State
Civil Rights: World Benchmark
Economy: Good
Political Freedoms: Some

Location: User Friendlia
The Free Land of Ug the Caveman is a small, socially progressive nation, remarkable for its absence of drug laws. Its hard-nosed population of 7 million enjoy extensive civil freedoms, particularly in social issues, while business tends to be more regulated.

The large, liberal government juggles the competing demands of Social Welfare, Education, and Healthcare. The average income tax rate is 25%, but much higher for the wealthy. A substantial private sector is dominated by the Gambling industry.

All recreational drugs are legal, political parties are banned from advertising and receiving private donations, and young children are regularly seen wagering pocket money at blackjack tables. Crime is a problem, and the police force struggles against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate.

Ug the Caveman's national animal is the mammoth, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the stone.
