was a few years back. Instead of a light dusting it was a heavy snow and it left a smooth crust on it. The plants had crystals on them, pine needles encased in ice, etc. It was picturesque like from some greeting card at least early in the morning as the sunrose on it. Because for the most part it was undisturbed by people. The light glinting off all the crystals on the pants and highlights of the snow was awsome. Yes I agree too a light dusting looks nice first thing in the morning. It's rather crisp out right now and my son's first comment on learning about snow "no mom your joking" then "mom is it going to snow more!!" :) He didn't really get to play in snow this winter as where I am didn't really get snow.
