"If I asked you which road leads to my hotel, which road would you indicate?" If he asked "Which road leads to my hotel?" the Knight would point to the correct road and the Knave would point to the other. But that means that if he asked the question above, the Knight would point to the correct road, and the Knave would have to point to that road as well (since he would have indicated the other road and he has to lie).
