Why would God create Hell? by Naruki2003-02-27 10:47:32
My very late answer... by krupa 2003-02-27 21:16:50
If we are to have a God and "goodness", and heaven we have to have an opposite. I'm saying that's legally binding, but what's the absence of good? Bad. If we have a place where good people go when they die, then it stands to reason that there would be a place where bad people go. I'm not saying that God created it (even though that's the question) but that if nothing more, humans created it for a sense of symmetry, and to make other people act better. After all, if we all went to heaven regardless of how we acted, what's the point of being good all the time?
