You know pointy things like 1's get stuck in optical links, and gradually clog up the pipes, right? So you need to send a huge amount of 0's to help undo the damage you've done with excessive commas.1 Hmm... maybe that's why it takes so long for people to respond to my email.
And I've done something similar on an FTP server, I believe in '99. I was on a cable modem with an FTP client that would repeatedly try to connect if it was rejected (max connections, etc). I accidentally put 0 in the retry delay, and the server rather suddenly vanished.
