The problem is that he is aware on a point by point, item by item level. Your choices result from your personality and knowledge. The only sources for these are your experiences and your genes. All of that is determined by what came before.

If God is omniscient, then the choices God made as a part of the creative act determined the initial state and conditions of reality. This means that each person that springs forth in this reality is a direct result of God's choices and decisions. Any decision made by these humans results from their nature's and their environments, which were determined by God. Hence there is no room for free will as it stands. It is not the knowledge alone that is the problem. It is that God has that knowledge and is creating everything, leaving no room for any other involved being to have a choice as things stand thus far in this scenario. This is why I see a need for God to limit the fore-knowledge temporarily during the creative act.
