A few years ago I had a few job interviews with a software company specializing in education. Class / student / grade management software etc... The interviewer was a bright woman who was head of her section but wasn't used to the hiring process. I was shortlisted and came back for two followup interviews. I didn't get the job... but the rejection came softly. 1) Personalized letter from interviewer 2) 1 call from interviewer 3) 1 call from owner 4) $30 gift certificate for local restaurant 5) Offer of another job, but not related. 6) Offer to give personal reference Getting just the letter and phone call would have made me more then happy. All the rest gave me that warm fuzzy feeling that there are still good people out there. - Rod (Ralph)
