Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 9 million are either ruled by a small, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.
The tiny, pro-business government juggles the competing demands of Religion & Spirituality, Law & Order, and Commerce. Income tax is unheard of. A robust private sector is led by the Trout Farming, Soda Sales, and Furniture Restoration industries.
All major public areas are watched by police surveillance cameras. Crime is a major problem. Ketterikan's national animal is the sylph and its currency is the favor. |
