Motto: "Democracy for all, in all matters of their life"

The Free Land of Technologia is a small, environmentally stunning nation, renowned for its compulsory military service. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 7 million love a good election, and the government gives them plenty of them. Universities tend to be full of students debating the merits of various civil and political rights, while businesses are tightly regulated and the wealthy viewed with suspicion.

The enormous, socially-minded government devotes most of its attentions to Social Welfare, with areas such as Religion & Spirituality and Law & Order receiving almost no funds by comparison. The average income tax rate is 38%, but much higher for the wealthy. A small private sector is dominated by the Information Technology industry.

The government awards prizes to television shows featuring stereotype-breaking minority roles. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown. Technologia's national animal is the emperor penguin, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the bit.
