Why would God create Hell? by Naruki2003-02-27 10:47:32
  Here's what I was taught... by Viaken 2003-02-27 12:17:43
Note, this is my 'opinion'...but it made sense to me. God created Hell because Lucifer/Satan was an angel to begin with, but then he tried to go against God/thought he was better than God (however you want to read it), so God banished him to Hell. That takes care of why it was created... As for the human side of it, ...think of it in terms of Father and son... (The traditional view...) We have to accept our Father's love...it isn't forced on us. We can run away from home and such. Well, not accepting God's love is like running away from home in the terrestial sense... We become apart from God... That's what Hell is...an eternity without Love... (namely, the love of God.) I guess Satan could be compared to Charles Manson. x.o Picking up the 'strays'..and converting them to his purposes. :S While the whole time, they think they're making the choices...

But again....this is just my beliefs... :) If you want actual, hard evidence...I can't give you any...
