God judges based on what each child is capable of (and if that falls short, the atonement of Jesus Christ makes up the difference). If a man is truly so screwed up that he does all these sinful things and honestly can't do anything about it, then because of the Savior, as long as he does what he can (even if it's just to believe), he's ok.
But the fact that there are priests who are supposed to live and breathe the gospel of the Catholic Church who then proceed to fondle little boys, well, either the theory doesn't hold true (that those who know of hell would do everything they could to avoid it), or they are truly incapable of making the proper choice. Only God knows for sure. ;) |
