has brought me that particular insight. Some of the most miserable people I know got married young and started having kids right off the bat instead of getting to know each other first and determining if it was a viable situation or not. I'm not saying don't ever have kids (contrary to what Naruki says); I'm suggesting that people look at their spouse and see if that person is a long-haul or a short-trip kind of person. If they're long-haul and you both LIKE kids, have as many as you can afford. That advice is applicable to everyone. I wasn't directing it at you in particular.
