You didn't offend me. That's pretty hard to do. I just like a good religious debate. Didn't mean to sound asinine, I was just trying to inject a little humor, so it wouldn't get too serious. Some religious debates here get pretty nasty.
As far as Christianity goes, that is not my main problem. My main problem is the cognitive dissonance that goes along with it. We are supposed to believe in the omniscience of God, with him knowing the future, otherwise prophecy would be invalid. On the other hand, we are supposed to have free will to choose God.
That really doesn't make sense, seeing that the outcome was determined by God when he created the universe. He knew full well that he would condemn a sizeable portion of the population to hell, and even knowing which ones it would be. It sounds more like a sociopath than a creator to me. |
