Sometimes you can find a good indication of whether to remove something by what it does in the registry. If it has a line that says all programs will crash if it's removed, change that first, sso that it points to something else for that, than get rid of the EXE. Anything else, just get rid of it. I reccommend finding the file and highlighting it, then pressong the SHIFT + DEL keys to remove it. If it doesn't accept that, use the del command in CMD.
