If y'all can accept certain changes in your religions, why can't you accept others? If the earth is no longer at the center of the solar system, why can't homosexuality be a valid adaptation of a portion of the population? If it's now OK to eat meat on Fridays, why can't you let others decide whether or not to terminate their pregnancies?
Face it, the world changes and if we don't change with it, we get left in the Darwinian dust. Progress is NOT a bad thing. Without progress, we'd not be on this board because our computers would be rocks and chisels. Without progress, we wouldn't be able to cure diseases.
True, progress can bring miseries, such as "weapons of mass destruction" and the "Jerry Springer Show". Overall, the good things ameliorate the bad ones. |
