It's a temporal causality loop, of sorts. A few key people told their past selves to buy up a whole bunch of stock in the early 90s and sell in '99. By telling their past selves that that was how it would work out, that was how it worked out.
This posting proves that people need sleep. I'm super tired and have another 3 hours minimum to be up so I can find out if I get an extention on the essay or not. If I don't, then it's only a few hours to actually write the damn thing (although I have some good thoughts ... just not fully developed, that's all).
