or early summer. The weather is okay, though it may be rainy. However, the water in the troughs isn't too cold to rinse your finds off, but it's not oppressively hot like it is in late summer. I haven't been there in years. I might just down there later this year. Go here for more info. Remember, you get to keep any that you find.
