Are you completely stupid or just ignorant of the facts?
The issue of SUVs and terrorism has NOTHING (repeat, NOTHING) to do with environmentalism.
For starters, the oil available from the mideast is good, clean oil. It's easy to get out of the ground, and it's easy to refine. In contrast, the oil from Alaska and California is much harder and more expensive to attain, and is much "dirtier", making it more difficult and costly to refine. As a result, the oil companies would much rather get it from the Middle East than from Alaska, even if they're pumping out just as much (which they can't, because there isn't as much there).
Where do terrorists get their money? Are they picking it off of a secret money tree hidden away somewhere? No, they're getting it from countries like Saudi Arabia, Iran, Syria, etc. Countries who have a lot of money because of..... oil. We buy their oil, and they take the money and give it to terrorists to use against us, their customers.
My argument against SUVs isn't environmental, although there is a side benefit to be gained there. My argument is about reducing our dependance on oil altogether, thus reducing our dependance on the Middle East. If we get cleaner air out of it, great, but that's not the basis of my argument.
Just like Naruki, you make too many assumptions about people whilst spouting off at the mouth. Next time, ask a few questions and gain some knowledge (there's a concept) about the person's opinion before you attempt to blast them into the netherworld. Maybe then you won't look like such an a-hole.
