on a ferry going from Calais to Dover. The dude behind the counter almost did the whole Basil Fawlty routine on me. Up to that point i thought that the French (read citizens of France) had the lock on attitude. Must not have realized that i wasn't a "bl***y yank" since at the time i wasn't surrounded by my 'fellow' Swiss tourists.
