true story:
I was driving my '69 Ford (Mustang) when a girl blew through a stop sign in her Hundai... brand new, (still had the dealer tags). I cranked left to avoid/lessen angle of impact (she was comming from my right). Impact at about 15 mph. RESULTS: FORD - a brand new, foot long "crease" low on on the passenger side door, about 3/4 on an inch deep. HUNDAI - frame folded, engine ripped from mounts, total loss. Girl crying to Police "It's not my fault...I didn't SEE the Stop sign...it's my first car.... how come HIS car isn't ruined? etc. etc. etc." as she signed the citation for running the sign & careless driving. Me: drove home, thanks my lucky stars I don't drive a POS. gimme old iron anyday.
I guess the only positive thing you might say about a Hundai is...
If the the North Koreans build nuclear weapons and missles like South Koreans build cars, we got nuthin to worry about. |
