Let's see years ago my art/drama teacher was a blast. You've seen the shirley Mac lain out on a limb book to movie? Well she was like that dressed eccentric, very new age hippy, she was hilarious and mellow.
My physics teacher liked to blow up things... which was amusing but in the end it was in a bad way as one year he didn't come back seems he choose to blow off his head that time.(ex wife had severly depressed him was the rumour :( ) He had been a very nice man and made physics make sense, be fun/intresting,...
Hmmm my advanced algebra teacher was fine to me but he was a welshman with a bad temper. I think many found him bad for all the times he had chalk hucked at their heads.(and he had pretty good aim and force with that chalk)
Then there was the coach who doubled as a french teacher. Actually 2 did. One amusingly I found out years later was my roommates cousin. That one was a nice guy and french canadian so spoke and taught it properly as we were supposed to be learning canadian french. Tho he was a coach he was mellow and didn't show bias. Now the other french teacher who was also a coach he was english canadian from the east and spoke parisian french. He was <cough> a*** retentive about how he taught and he bluntly made the point that he'd be deliberately tough on "band" members and easy on his boy jocks. He failed me for grade 9 french despite more than once my explaining to the class what we were supposed to be doing in our assignments as *they* couldn't figure it out... and despite the prior year with the other french teacher giving me a B.(oh and having a french teacher in grade 4 that was also french canadian and mellow ... she had given me a c+ on my french tho I entered into it late with no prior exposure) |
