VNC Question (Under Windows) by MikeCDN2003-02-13 10:44:20

I can see a reason to hide the icon by plblark 2003-02-13 11:37:33
I can also see where it could be abused. so there is definitely an issue there. I have several machines at home, and would like to use VNC to get to any of them from anywhere. I'd like to hide the icons precisely so that users (some of the children or guests on my systems) can be supervised and so that people don'tr go monkeying around. yes, technically this is spying, but it's like my corporation spying on me using remote contrl and remote viewer... they get to do it cause they own the machines. so maybe make this an option only if the vnc process is RunAs as the administrator? btu who wants their vnc session to runas the admin? I'd rather use it and then RunAS on specific processis myself...

definitly a cunundrum... preventing the action because it COULD be used for ill intent...
