it's still classed as a 'fetus'... with all the grey-area that goes with that term. After that point it is indeed a Human Being... no more grey areas at all (at least as regards to killing). The whole PBA euphimism is just to get around the fact that at this point in delivery you can actually TOUCH the child.

At least this is how the Chinese Government looks at things. And they use formaldehyde, not a vacuum. Equally barbaric.

I won't go into the whole abortion vs. adoption vs abstinence thing... not in the mood for that right now. I'll give you my nutshell views below.

I was adopted (1967), so was my brother (1968), and I have a 15-year-old foster son who got dealt a pretty crappy hand. I'm not about to go bombing clinics, or even picketing, but I'm against abortion unless the mother's health is at stake (in which case the whole PBA thing is moot... at this point any health issues would have manifest anyway).

If you're a man, and don't want a child, then do your part. Buy fresh condoms and use them, or get your vas deferens snipped, or abstain.

If you're a woman, and don't want children, do your part. Buy fresh condoms and/or use other methods, or get your Fallopian tubes tied, or abstain.

In the case of rape, at that point it is the woman's decision to bring life into the world, or not. I won't condemn anyone for their decision to abort under such circumstances (the convicted rapist should be made accountable however, just like any absentee father.)

Otherwise, ACCEPT that a child is on the way, and do your part to raise them well. This includes getting a job, providing a home, and all that goes with it... for the next 18-21 years. :)

End of sermon.
