Tobacco Ads Almost Banned! by Tomo2006-11-19 12:55:59

    I'm sorry, but that's a silly opinion. by Naruki2003-02-13 04:49:46
      I dunno about that... by rapido75 2003-02-13 10:40:06
... I smoked briefly when I was young, and it sure didn't do it because of ads. It was because I wanted to fit in with my loser/headbanger friends. Thankfully, it didn't last long.

The fact is that smoking seems cool, ads or not. In fact, getting rid of ads (though I completely support this act) will probabily make smoking look even cooler and more 'rebellious'. Also, I don't like the hypocracy of things like the California law that states that you can't smoke in bars. How stupid is that? You can't smoke in a tavern, but you can get rip-roaring drunk, act like an idiot, and crash your car into a park bench. Come on.

(Reminds me of an old joke: "If you're not supposed to drink and drive, why do they have parking lots at bars?")
