But they both fail for the same reason. You can't remove something from community without first removing the need and desire. (A quote came to my mind: "You can burn the books, but not the civilization they describe." I don't remember where I heard it though.)

We can only provide anti-propaganda and hope to eventually remove desire and with fewer addicts this should get easier.

not wanting -> not starting -> not smoking -> not "spreading" desire
