| I have always said that the Canadian system is better than the US...HMO's suck. When we moved, I found out that the HMO I am on at work does not cover the county we moved to, no doctors in the plan. We have to live within 30 miles of the primary doc, so now I am forced to lie about our address, we use pop-in-law's, and the wife drive the kids 1-1/2 hours to the doctor. If she needs to go, she waits until the doctors office is closed, then hits the e-room at the local hospital. Otherwise the HMO will not cover the cost of the visit. We need socialized medicine here...so come invade, and bring your health care with you. |
