Another selective memory thing:
Nobody seems to recall that without the aid of the US Hitlers war machine would not have made it as far as it did. US industry supplied Germany during the war ('til '41 I think) with some crucial stuff like fuel additives for their planes and tanks - enough for the whole war and then some... Without that no german Luftwaffe and the tanks wouldn't have made it very far either.

And though that was basically a deal between german company IG Farben (on Hitler's request naturally) and some US companies the US government was very helpful delivering that stuff to german submarines on sea with US Navy ships...
